Graduates of the program will be well prepared to meet the 21st century challenges to their fields. Nearly every aspect of industry, commerce and government is currently being re-evaluated in the context of sustainability. New firms with a sustainability focus are also being formed to address issues in energy, water resources, air quality, land use, waste management, transportation, construction and urban planning. Implementing Mayor Bloomberg’s PlaNYC 2030 will generate demand for hundreds if not thousands of leaders, specialists, managers, and consultants possessing the new skills that will be developed in this program.
